The Rosewood Community Association is looking into to having s stargazing night for all ages in the fall.
The Family Stargazing which is more for families only was originally scheduled for March 2014, however was postponed due to limited enrolment. The RCA is looking at holding this course in 2015 in hopes that there will be an increase in the number of Rosewood residents interested and able to attend. Here is a bit about that course. Family Stargazing - Educator and amateur astronomer Ron Waldron will give five one hour digitally illustrated talks on Stargazing. Designed for families, this course includes several hands on activities including weekly telescope viewing of celestial objects and a field trip to the U of S Observatory. All participants will gain familiarity and knowledge of the night sky and the universe in which they live. For ages 7 – Adult.
