Transit in Rosewood

On August 2, 2022 the City of Saskatoon launched a new On-Demand transit system to mitigate the deficiencies the number (and placement) of bus stops in growing communities such as Rosewood. Periodic neighbourhood reviews are still being done by the City it add and adjust transit stops as the community develops.

2017 Rosewood Transit Update​

A meeting was held on June 7, 2017 to provide updates on the changes to transit for the Rosewood community and also to answer any questions residents may have.

Meeting Highlights

New Rosewood Route: Route 86 is a new route, with similar routing to the previous 29 Rosewood. Route 86 continues to interline with other routes at the Centre Mall terminal, you do not require a transfer if your destination is downtown. There was some initial concerns with service to Pawlychenko Lane. Transit addressed these concerns with some revisions to Route 86 and by adding another stop at Slimmons Road and Taylor Street.
Additional Bus Stops:​ Along Rosewood Boulevard/Rosewood Gate (#3086 & #4489). An additional stop was added at Taylor and Simmons Road.
Service Hours Extended​: Route 86 was created in order that service may be extended into Rosewood and down Rosewood Boulevard West & Rosewood Gate North. With this extended route, frequency is now 30 minutes daytime/ 60 minutes evenings/weekends.
Connecting with 8th Street : Route 86 is now interlined with the Route 8, 8th Street and continues to interline with downtown through the day.
