Outdoor Season 2020
Rosewood Youth Soccer functions in partnership with Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. (SYSI) which includes the various communities throughout Saskatoon, starting May 4, 2020 and runs until early June 25, 2020. Games will be outdoors on grass fields in Rosewood and surrounding communities.

Under 5 (Co-ed) - Born 2015 ($ 85 each)
Season starts May 4, 2020 and runs until June 25, 2020. Games will be held on Mondays or Tuesday’s at 6pm or 7pm outdoors on grass fields within the surrounding communities.
Under 7 - Born 2013 & 2014 ($ 85 each)
Season starts May 4, 2020 and runs until June 25, 2020, Games will be held on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday’s outdoors on grass fields within the surrounding communities. Practices may be held at the discretion of the coach, field availability and number of teams
Under 9 - Born 2011 & 2012 ($ 85 each)
Season starts May 4, 2019 and runs until June 25, 2020. Games will be held on Monday, Tuesday or Friday’s outdoors on grass fields within the surrounding communities. Practices may be held at the discretion of the coach, field availability and number of teams.
Kindersoccer (Co-ed) - Age -3 ($ 40 each)
Season will run for 8-10 weeks starting in May.

Outdoor Season 2020
1. What are the age groups, prices and nights of play?
Note that Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc (SYSI) schedules the games for U5-U9, and RCA does not have control over the schedule.
Important Information:
* Season starts May 4, 2020 and runs until June 25, 2020
* Kindersoccer teams have practices/ non-competitive games once a week.
* No underage players are permitted in U5
* The game dates for U9 are subject to change given new formats for U9 and U9-Development League.
* Nights of play and number of players in games are subject to change.

1. When is soccer registration in RCA?
February 17- March 18, 2020
2. Can I register for RCA soccer online?
Yes! You must register for soccer online at the following link: https://www.rampregistrations.com/login?v3=a7034835de
3. Other than the registration fee what is required to register for soccer?
A valid Rosewood Community Association membership is required to register for soccer. Other valid Saskatoon Community Association memberships are also accepted for a program. If you do not have a membership you can purchase a Rosewood Community Association membership for $15.00 prior to or when registering for a program.
4. What if my child’s year of birth is 2010 or earlier?
Your child should be enrolled in Youth Soccer though our zone (Lakewood Soccer). See www.lakewoodsoccer.com or www.saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca.
5. My child is small/inexperienced. Can they play down a level?
No, unfortunately this is not permitted by Saskatoon Youth Soccer. Note that SYSI considers U5-U9 to be non-competitive. Scores are not kept during games.
6. Can I register for U9 Developmental league through RCA?
Registration for U9 Developmental league is through the Lakewood zone. Please visit www.lakewoodsoccer.com or www.saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca for details.
7. Can a player register on a Community League team as well as a Zone D- League team?
Effective Indoor 2018-19, there are no longer restrictions for playing in both and the player may be registered in both leagues. The player and parent must take into consideration the number of training and game times which will take place on a weekly basis between the two and make a decision as to how much is safe for the player.
8. When and where are U5-U9 practices held?
For U5, U7, and U9, teams will practice outdoors. Practices will normally be held week nights at Glen H. Penner Park or Swick Park. Practices will be scheduled Monday-Friday between 6-9 p.m. Practice frequency, times and dates will depend on field availability, the number of teams that sign up, and coach preferences. You will find out your practice times from your coach.
9. Where are games held?
Games will be held on grass fields within the Lakewood zone community.
10. Are U7 and U9 teams co-ed or gender specific?
Both U7 and U9 are gender specific but SYS will allow female players on boy's teams for U7 and U9 if there are not enough players to form a team. The coordinators will also be communicating with other community associations to determine what their numbers look like. If we do not have enough girls or boys form a team we will ask other surrounding community associations if they have players of if they need players if we have a surplus.
