Hyde Park Information
Hyde Park know as the Hyde Wetland Naturalized Area was completed and turned over to the City of Saskatoon late fall of 2014 for ongoing management.
There are still some deficiencies that need to be addressed and it will take some time for the native vegetation to re-establish.
Also in the summer of 2016 repairs were completed on the malfunctioning weir (near the bridge).
Since it's repair we are now seeing water levels in the wetlands returning to normal.
Take a walk to check out the new weir and enjoy this beautiful natural area!
Park Maintenance Yard
  • June 2017 construction on the maintenance yard is underway.
  • It is estimated that staff will be located in this facility in the fall of 2017.
  • The Rosewood Community Concept Plan showed an area dedicated to this structure near the practice field.
  • In the fall of 2016 the City of Saskatoon Parks Division advised the Community Association that they were moving forward with the installation of the facility.
  • Construction was originally scheduled for late 2016 however was delayed.
  • The new satellite maintenance facility will improve customer service and coordination of park maintenance. It will also provide storage for additional equipment necessary for maintenance services to new parks.
  • This initiative is estimated to yield a cost savings of approximately 10% in neighborhoods these facilities will serve, as well as 5-15% time savings per person/per day working from the new maintenance facilities.
