Adult Program Descriptions
WINTER PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS AND TRICKS
In this one hour course, you will learn a beginner’s strategy for taking pictures outside during the winter season. The class will consist of tips and tricks for your camera settings, and how to keep your camera safe.  We’ll focus on snowy scenery pictures using different perspectives, and if time allows, portraits!
Who’s ready to run outside and start shooting? Join me in taking photographs in the snow!
Sarah sees. Photography is a local photography business based out of Saskatoon. She started her small business about a year ago, and loves capturing beautiful portraits and moments between loved ones. Sarah enjoys learning and exploring different photography techniques and welcomes the new challenges that photography brings.
 

SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS
This is a 6-week introduction to Spanish. This class offers simple and easy Spanish sentences that will get you through everyday situations. There is an option to purchase a book but not necessary.
YINIDRA YOGA (Age 18+)
Yin yoga for flexibility, mindfulness and relaxation. Yoga nidra for meditation, restoration, and deep relaxation. Each class will include passive poses for the joints, bones and connective tissues and will finish with a guided nidra meditation that will prepare us for sleep. This class is accessible to yogis of all levels.
Natasha Just is a certified 200h yoga instructor with additional certifications in Holistic Whole Body Health and Trauma-sensitive yoga. Natasha is also certified in Integrative Health & Lifestyle and Applied Positive Psychology, which she infuses into her yoga teachings.
 
SCRAPBOOKING FUN
Desiree will instruct two scrapbooking pop ups via Zoom. The first January 10th, 3 card workshop. January 24th Valentines Project. Kits will be prepared for participants to pick up or have dropped off prior to the event.
ADULT ART DROP-IN (Ages 16+):
Come in once a month this winter to create some art. Each session will be a different art medium and leave you feeling relaxed and stressed.
​BARRE PILATES (Ages 16+): 
Pilates with chairs!  This is an excellent form of toning and strengthening, incorporating elements of dance and pilates to elongate and work muscles.  Using a chair makes this class perfect for anyone who has mobility issues or difficulty getting up and down off the floor.
BOOTCAMP (Ages 16+):  
A combination class including cardio conditioning as well as muscle conditioning.
CHAIR YOGA (Daytime Program Ages 19+): 
Yoga with Chairs! This yoga class is perfect for individuals who find it difficult getting up and down off the floor, or for anyone interested in a different and challenging yoga class.
CORE CONDITIONING CLASS (Ages 16+): 
Improve your posture and build core muscle groups through a variety of exercises designed to strengthen your abdomen and back muscles while increasing your flexibility. Walk taller, feel stronger! This class may include a variety of equipment.
ESSENTIAL OILS (Ages 16+): ​
A one night informational night for anyone interested in learning more about essential oils, their benefits and how to use them.
​HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT) (Ages 16+): 
​This intense cardio class is perfect for anyone wanting to get their hear rate up for an hour! You can work out as hard as you want and are able to so all levels of fitness are welcome.

KETTLEBELL (Ages 16+)

A strength and cardio program using kettlebells to get an all over workout.

LEARN TO CROCHET (Ages 16+)
A one night program for anyone interested in learning how to crochet.
LEARN TO KNIT (Ages 16+)

A one night program for anyone interested in learning how to knit.
STANDARD FIRST AID/CPR-C TRAINING
CPR Training provides skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. All include training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Training is suitable for workplace or general interest. Includes the latest CPR guidelines. Upon successful completion you will receive a 3-year certification in CPR Level C. 

STRENGTH AND TONE (Ages 16+)
A fitness class focusing on building muscles and helping to tone muscles all over the body. 
YOGA (Ages 16+)
A beginner and intermediate yoga class to unwind and cleanse your body your mind.
ZUMBA (Ages 16+)
A high energy class sure to get you moving! The Latin inspired music and fun dance moves will have you wanting more. This is for anyone that wants an excellent workout!

DROP-IN BADMINTON (ages 13+)
​
Drop in and play some badminton. Bring your own racket or the Community Association will have a few available for use during the hour  if you want to try it out.
DROP-IN BASKETBALL (ages 13+)
Drop in for an hour of basketball in the gym, play a game or just practice your skills with friends!

YOUTH Program Descriptions
BABYSITTING COURSE (ages 11+)
​
This course gives youth the knowledge and confidence to babysit. Learn the basics of first aid, fire safety, age appropriate games and activities as well as how to stay safe while babysitting.
BOYS BEING BOYS (ages 13+)
From Sports to video games, this program features a new topic and activity each week. Local presenters will be featured weekly to teach new skills or discuss a topic of interest to the boys. 
ITS A GIRL THING (ages 13+)
Each week is a new adventure, from health and fitness to crafts to hairstyles. Catering to what the girls want, this program features a different topic each week with local professionals who will teach the girls some valuable skills!​
ZUMBA
This Latin inspired class will introduce kids to dance and fitness. A great time for kids and easy to learn.
