Orienteering (Ages 7-18) This is a chance for kids to come out and learn how read a map, compass and GPS! Hyde Wetland Naturalized Area Spring Cleanup All ages are welcome to come and be a part of the 2nd Annual Spring Cleanup of the Hyde Wetlands Naturalized Area! There will be a brief presentation on wetland functions and values for the Rosewood community conducted by a Professional Wetland Scientist prior to the cleanup. Date: May 24, 2015 Day/Time: Sunday, 10:00 AM - Noon Cost: $ FREE Meeting Location: Hyde Park bridge along paved path Hyde Park is a 40+/- Acre Naturalized Wetland Area and Landscaped Park which is managed and maintained by the City of Saskatoon. Approximate shoreline length is 1.7 - 2.0 km. Chess Night (cancelled due to limited interest) Get to know people in your neighborhood over a game of chess! Dates: April 1 - June 3, 2015 Day/Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 PM Cost: *$ FREE (requires a valid RCA membership) Register by: March 20, 2015 Card Night Get to know people in your neighborhood over a game of cribbage, rummy, or go fish, whatever level you are at this is sure to be a good time and a great way to socialize. Dates: April 2 - June 4, 2015 Day/Time: Thursdays, 6:30 - 7:30 PM Cost: *$10.00/Participant Location: Elim Church Register by: You can still join in the fun! Send us an email Landscaping Workshop This 2 hour workshop will provide you with information and ideas on how to best landscape your lot how you like it! Covering topics such as ground covers, sloping, plants for shade or sun, trees and shrubs this workshop should help you kickstart your planning process for this upcoming summer. Date: April 20, 2015 Day/Time: Monday, 6:30 - 8:30 PM Location: Elim Church (Hospitality Room) Cost: *$ 10.00/Participant Register by: Closed Creative Containers Workshop (cancelled due to limited interest) This 2 hour workshop will introduce you to container gardening, what works best and how to get started. This workshop will also cover creative ways to put together a flowering container for your deck or front yard. The focus will be on what works best in shade or sun as well as what works best for Saskatoon summers, including some interesting plant options. Date: May 11, 2015 Day/Time: Monday, 6:30 - 8:30 PM Location: Elim Church (Hospitality Room) Cost: *$ 10.00/Participant Register by: Space still available - Register now! Zumba (Ages 16+) (cancelled due to limited interest) This class is high energy and FUN! Join this 8 week Latin dance inspired class and get your groove on! Dates: May 5 - June 23, 2015 Day/Time: Time to be determined Cost: *$55.00/Participant Register by: April 24, 2015 - Space still available - Register now! Bootcamp (Ages 14+) (cancelled due to limited interest) This high energy fitness class will put you through your paces! This 8 week program will introduce participants to high intensity exercises that can be done with little or no equipment. This class is sure to get you ready for a busy outdoor summer! Dates: May 6 - June 24, 2015 Day/Time: Wednesdays, Time to be determined Cost: *$ 70.00/Participant Register by: April 24, 2015 - Space still available - Register now! * Please note that a valid Rosewood Community Association membership is also required to register for programs. Other valid Community Association memberships will also be accepted. If you do not have a membership you can purchase an RCA membership for $15.00 prior to or when registering for a program.
Refund policy:
If the program you sign up for is cancelled we will contact you and refund your program fee. One day programs require 48 hours cancellation notice in order to receive a refund. Multiple day programs, unfortunately no refund can be made for a program after the first session of the program occurs. A $ 15.00 administrative fee will be assessed for all refund requests. Your membership allows you to register for programs offered by the Rosewood Community Association or currently offered by other community associations in Saskatoon. Check out the City of Saskatoon's website's Leisure Guide for programs you may be interested in. The cost for an individual or family membership is $15 and renewed annually in August. By becoming part of your community association you are helping to bring activities and events to Rosewood. |
